Oromia Water, Mineral and Energy Bureau(OWMEB) signed agreement with MENA-Water to under take Bako town water supply project construction. (By Teshome Wakjira, OWMEB communication expert)
The agreement was signed by OWMEO Bureau head Mr. Motuma Mekasa and MENA WATER FZC managing director, Engineer Atif Gafar.
After signing the agreement Mr. Motuma said, the Bureau is interested to work with the MENA WATER FZC aiming that modern and cost effective technology to be applied by the company enables to solve the serious potable water problem of Bako town within short period. If the Company performs well, the Bureau will consider having other similar projects with the company. So we believe that Bako town project as a pilot project to be the turning point of our future work relation, Motuma added. The Bureau gives due attention for the work quality by supervising continuously, he stressed.
MENA WATER FZC managing director Engineer Atiff on his part said, MENA-Water, the German Company, focus on sanitation and drinking water construction has a long time work experience. According to him, the technology simplifies the decentralization system, very simple to operate and cost effective compare to other Companies.

The construction of Bako town water supply project takes not more than six months including transporting the technologies and to plant. Our technology is a cost effective, packaged and portable plant that meets WHO and other international treated water standards. It is easy to operate, consumes less energy and can be delivered in short notice, Eng. Atif added.
Engineer Atif confidentially justify that their company will complete the project according to the agreement entered and work hand in hand with client in order to assure the quality under any professional circumstances. In addition to the construction agreement the company gave the material which costs birr 3,000,000.00(three million Birr) for Wonji town by charity.
